Swift Xi participated in the biggest ICT event in Africa Transform Africa Summit 2019 from 14th of May to 17th 2019.
The Swift 020 show-bird was displayed at the Japan pavilion which was coordinated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications(MIC), JICA and Kobe City Government. The Swift020 fascinated many visitors from various African Governments and from the private sector. On 5/15 the President of Rwanda, H.E Paul Kagame alongside the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta visited the Japan booth.
On 5/16 the Minister of ICT and Innovation of Rwanda Ms. Paula Ingabire had a fruitful meeting with our Chairman and CEO, Mr. Hiro Matsushita and President of Swift-Xi, Mr. Kenji Fukuoka regarding Swift's future business model for Rwanda in various sectors, and are keen to implement the project before TICAD-7, Yokohama.
